It definitely feels like we’re in a deep freeze here in Vancouver these days but spring and summer are around the corner-yay!! It’s difficult not to get excited about fall approaching. With crisp mornings, beautiful fall leaves and time to pull out your favorite sweater and boots combo it’s a great time hit a cafe with a friend and exchange stories of your summer adventures and winter plans. It’s also,arguably the best time of year for family portraits in Vancouver! I’ve been a family photographer in Vancouver,B.C. for over ten years now and I’ve found some pretty spectacular locations for fall portraits.

Over the past little while I have been photographing some extended family sessions in Van Dusen Gardens. I love it there so much that I purchased an annual membership to really explore the gardens and have found so many lovely hidden spots. This was my second time photographing this family at the gardens and it was so special to see how much the grandchildren had changed since our last session! I absolutely love photographing extended family sessions! They hold a special place in my heart and I get really excited about these sessions. This is a family I have had the pleasure to photograph many times and this time invited their parents and sibling’s family to come along.
